How do others define your race?

Most people define me as Black because my hair is natural and I am from Southern California so my skin is normally pretty dark. A combination of those things makes people assume that I am just Black. It does bother me that people only see me as Black. I grew up in a community that is predominantly White and Latino with a significant Asian population, but there were very few Black and biracial people so I don’t identify with the culture of Black America. But, telling people that I am biracial seems pretentious because people are looking for simple answers that I can’t give them.
